Viña Almaviva was established in 1997 as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Viña Concha y Toro, based in Maipo Valley, Chile. Crafted from a blend of classic Bordeaux varieties, Almaviva is a "Primer Orden” (Grand Cru) wine based on the Château concept under the joint technical supervision of both partners.

Since the beginning of the project Almaviva has been distributed by La Place de Bordeaux, therefore the connection with the city has always been very strong. We are honored to be part of La Cité du Vin since we are convinced that it is really important to spread wine knowledge throughout the world and nothing better for that than showing from Bordeaux the history and diversity of the wine world.
