Benoit Valérie Calvet

The history of the Calvet family is intertwined with that of Bordeaux and goes back to the 19th century. Legend has it that we have wine running through our veins!

Since 1985 Benoit Valérie Calvet, a family-run wine trading house, has grown significantly thanks to its expertise and creative touch.

Firmly focused on the export market, our Bordeaux-based firm has been modernised and become more specialised. The company masters every aspect of wine, from vine-growing to marketing, affording it perfect control over the entire process. Benoit Valérie Calvet wines are high-quality, accessible, and at the right price.

On the strength of this international outlook and its longstanding roots in the Bordeaux region, the company offers a diverse range of Bordeaux wines and genuine expertise, further enhanced by the presence of Benoit Calvet in numerous committees and associations in the wine industry.

In order to pursue its development and growth, the company has moved to new premises on the banks of the River Garonne. The Domaine de Vallier, an estate boasting more than 400 years of history, stands in an exceptional setting just 15 minutes from the centre of Bordeaux.

Benoit Valérie Calvet has a profound attachment to both the wine culture and Bordeaux’s heritage. It was therefore only natural that the trading house should wish to contribute to the flagship project that is La Cité du Vin, and in so doing help promote the image of Bordeaux, its wines and its culture throughout the world.
