Bordeaux Métropole Aménagement

Bordeaux Métropole Aménagement (BMA), is a semi-public company with almost €4 million of share capital and provides project management for large development projects and public and private constructions.

Bordeaux Urban Community and the City of Bordeaux, alongside the department and the towns of Merignac and Arcachon, are BMA’s major public shareholders. Private ownership is mainly represented by large financial institutions such as the Caisse des Depots et Consignations, Caisse d'Epargne and Crédit Agricole. The Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry is also present in BMA’s capital.

BMA has been strongly committed to major urban projects within Bordeaux for over 20 years. The company has been involved in projects on the right bank, in the creation of the ZAC “Cœur de Bastide” since 1999, which has since been completed, and also the ongoing development of the Queyries residential block, and beyond, the ZAC Bastide Niel. On the left bank, BMA is currently developing the Santé Navale site, acquired in 2012, and is also now involved in the revival of the Bassins à Flot, where BMA is projecting an iconic property complex for leisure and services on the Fourrière residential block, which will go hand in hand with La Cité du Vin.

BMA naturally wanted to join the La Cité du Vin’s founding group of patron builders from the outset, to support this landmark project which will give Bordeaux an additional cultural and architectural gem and strengthen its position as a major European tourist destination.
