It is with honour and great pleasure that Stéphane Nadalié, CEO of the Tonnellerie Nadalié, signed a sponsorship agreement with the "Endowment Fund to support La Cité du Vin" on Sunday 1 July, 2012. Through this symbolic gesture, La Tonnellerie Nadalié has confirmed its support for this wonderful project.
Since its creation, La Tonnellerie Nadalié has attached great importance to promoting its primary activity and passion to as many people as possible through cultural events and enjoys promoting and supporting initiatives taken in this field.
Since 1902, the Nadalié family has perpetuated the art of cooperage and today the fifth generation of the family keeps this ancient know-how and expertise alive.
A wealth of experience in forestry, a large lumber yard of air-seasoned wood, and a perfect knowledge of the toasting process are all factors that have led to the Médoc business’ international recognition.
Looking towards the future, La Tonnellerie Nadalié, located in Ludon-Médoc, in partnership with the Institute for Vine and Wine Sciences (Bordeaux) and many clients, strives daily to improve their understanding of the interactions between the barrel and wine that will sublimate the best Grands Crus in the world.
La Tonnellerie Nadalié today produces all types of French oak barrels: Bordeaux barrels and Burgundy pieces of 300, 400, 500 and 600 litres. Vats and casks are also produced on request. The company also specialises in the manufacture of by-products such as chippings and staves with its production of the "Oak Add Ins" brand.
Finally, making a direct and vital link between the skill of cooperage and the joy of gathering round a table with loved ones, La Tonnellerie Nadalié has strengthened its relationship with the general public through the opening of its restaurant, Le 1902. Chef Thierry Evenisse takes great pleasure each day in revisiting our most traditional recipes for all to enjoy.
